The Going Merry Board is a site where every One Piece followers are welcome to discuss anything and everything about, what else, One Piece.
But just like other forums, we have guidelines we need to strictly comply to.

But just like other forums, we have guidelines we need to strictly comply to.
General Rules:
1. Always be cordial. Even in heated arguments, everyone should stay respectful. No bashing. No flaming. Avoid anything that can be offending to other members.
2. Avoid foul words. Profanities are not encourage in this board. Though the manner on how such words were used will be taken into consideration, it's in the admin's judgment to delete or retain any post with such words.
3. Stay on-topic! Avoid getting off-topic. In the case of topics getting out of hand, a member can message a staff member to clean the thread. WARNING. Off-topic posts will mostly likely be deleted.
4. Avoid spamming. Anything that does not contribute to the discussion will only be deleted. Stay on-topic. Avoid one-liners as much as possible.
5. Members are allowed to start a new topic. Make sure, though, that no similar threads exist before starting a new one. Similar threads will only be merged so try searching before creating one. Also, try to make the title clear and not confusing.
6. ENGLISH is the primary language in the board since this board is suppose to cater an international crowd. If it can't be avoided, non-English language should be place under the spoiler tags and translations, if possible, should be available.
7. Give credit where credit is due. It's highly appreciated to give source to anything (news, fanarts etc.) that a member got from other sites.
Signature and Avatar Rules
1. Avoid very sexually explicit images in your signature and avatar.
2. Avoid putting indecent words.
3. Wait for 24 hours before using any spoiler images for your signature and avatar.

An admin can send a member a personal message if a violation is committed. Once PM is received, we are hopeful that the member could fix the matter. Ignoring the PM is not highly recommended.
Any modifications in the rules can be made if a member suggest any. It will, however, be subjected to crucial scrunity. After all, one of the purpose of this board is to provide a comfortable zone for One Piece fans to discuss anything about the series.
